Daimler Trucks North America has sold the business and assets of Western Idaho Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star to the Schow’s, Inc.

THE TRANSACTION

Schow’s acquired Western Idaho Freightliner in May 2008. DPP initiated this transaction, assisted in the negotiations and acted as exclusive financial advisor to Daimler Trucks North America.

WESTERN IDAHO FREIGHTLINER, STERLING AND WESTERN STAR

Western Idaho Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star (“Western Idaho Freightliner”) is a full service, integrated retailer of premium Class 5-8 commercial vehicles manufactured by DTNA. Western Idaho Freightliner is authorized to sell and service Freightliner®, Freightliner Custom Chassis, Sterling Trucks® and Western Star® branded products. Western Idaho Freightliner currently operates one location in Nampa, Idaho.

Schow’s, Inc. (“Schow’s”) founded in 1949 in Heyburn, ID, is a full-service retailer of Class 5-8 commercial vehicles sold under the Western Star® and Sterling Trucks® brands. In addition to its truck dealership operations, Schow’s operates a CarQuest franchise, which is a retailer of automotive parts, and NationaLease, which provides leasing services associated with commercial vehicles.
