Hayes Lemmerz Brake Components Division has been acquired by Brembo SpA

THE TRANSACTION

Brembo completed the acquisition of Brake in November 2007. The transaction strengthens Brembo’s presence in the North American market and provides Brembo a manufacturing base to supply its North American operations.

Hayes' Brake Components Division (“Brake”) is a leader in the precision machining of rotors and drums used in foundation braking systems for the North American automotive market. Brake includes facilities in Homer, Michigan and Apodaca, Mexico, employing approximately 250 people, including 64 technical associates.

For the year ended June 30, 2007 Brembo generated Revenue and EBITDA of approximately $1.2 billion and $160 million.
